Introduction
If you’re new to specialty coffee, the Introduction to Coffee course is for you. From Ethiopia, where coffee’s origin lies, through its current status as a major commodity, it traces coffee’s history. This course provides a comprehensive introduction of the specialty of the coffee supply chain and delves into subjects including history and cultivation,factors that affect coffee quality, the fundamentals of business skill,roasting factors, factors affecting coffee freshness, and brewing principles. Students we’ll also talk about the need of maintaining good water quality. Cupping is a procedure used exclusively in the coffee business for sensory evaluation, and it is also included in the interactive course. Immediately after the course is over, a practical exam is given.
