Introduction

If you’re new to specialty coffee, the Introduction to Coffee course is for you. From Ethiopia, where coffee’s origin lies, through its current status as a major commodity, it traces coffee’s history. This course provides a comprehensive introduction of the specialty of the coffee supply chain and delves into subjects including history and cultivation,factors that affect coffee quality, the fundamentals of business skill,roasting factors, factors affecting coffee freshness, and brewing principles. Students we’ll also talk about the need of maintaining good water quality. Cupping is a  procedure used exclusively in the coffee business for sensory evaluation, and it is also included in the interactive course. Immediately after the course is over, a practical exam is given.

Barista Skills

Barista skills explores health and safety concerns, customer service protocols,and fundamental business principles in addition  to teaching the fundamental practice skills required behind the espresso bar, such as how to set your grinder, make espresso,foam and texture milk cappuccinos,and create latte art.

Brewing

The various methods for brewing coffee are covered in the brewing courses,as well as the brewing factors that influence the quality. With an emphasis on grind profiles, brewing techniques, measurement of coffee strength,and coffee extraction,charting, hands-on learning is prioritised.

Roasting

The roasting modules educate about the roasting process, covering the roast cycle, roast levels, identifying faults, the physical changes that beans go through during the roasting process, as well as workspace management and learning production.
